Description
Mechanical Seals in Pakistan
ENGINEERIC is the supplier of all kinds of mechanical seals in Pakistan. A mechanical seal is a very effective device. Every centrifugal pump must accommodate a spinning shaft while mechanically maintaining fluid or gas contained in the “wet end” of the pump. Mechanical seals consist primarily of a rotary seal face with a driving mechanism that rotates at the same speed as the pump shaft, a stationary seal face which mates with the rotary and is retained using a gland or in some pump models an integral stuffing box cover, a tension assembly (utilizing springs or metal bellows) keeps the rotary face firmly positioned against the stationary face preventing, excluding, and containing contamination and leakage, both when the pump is not in operation and when the pump shaft is rotating. Static sealing gaskets, o rings, or elastomeric bellows are strategically located to complete the seal assembly.

Mechanical seal in pump structure
-
-
- 1.Internal structure of pumps.
- Pump is a machine that works to move fluids, as in lifting a liquid to its inside. For example, its impeller rotates to move water.
-
- 2.Mechanical seal installation location in pump
- A mechanical seal is installed on the impeller rotating shaft. This prevents the liquid from leaking through the clearance between the pump body and the shaft.
-
- 3.Mechanical seal installation location on shaft mechanical seals have mostly comprised of two rings: a rotary ring on the shaft and a stationary ring on the pump housing.
-
- 4.Mechanical seal structure (stationary and rotary rings)
- The rotary ring rotates with the shaft. The stationary and rotary rings rub against each other ensuring a clearance in the order of micrometers maintained between them. Where they rub against each other, they are referred to as “face materials.
